Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of aegis-constitution.com and all related AEGIS™ materials. This AUP supplements the Terms of Use — violations of this policy may result in enforcement actions described therein.
Automated Access
Automated access to this site is permitted only within the bounds of the site’s robots.txt file. The following are prohibited without prior written permission:
- Scraping, crawling, or systematically downloading site content beyond what
robots.txtallows - Using bots, spiders, or automated tools to index, mirror, or reproduce site content
- Circumventing rate limits, access controls, or technical restrictions
Content Use Restrictions
The AEGIS™ Constitution is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. Within that license, the following restrictions apply:
- No misrepresentation. You may not present AEGIS™ content as your own original work, remove attribution, or alter content in ways that misrepresent the AEGIS Initiative’s positions.
- No unauthorized redistribution. Redistribution must comply with Apache 2.0 requirements — including retention of copyright notices, license text, and clear marking of modifications.
- No AI training use without permission. Use of AEGIS™ content as training data for machine learning models, large language models, or other AI systems requires explicit written permission from Finnoybu IP LLC. To request permission, contact legal@aegis-constitution.com.

AEGIS Compliance Claims
You may not:
- Claim that a system, product, or service is “AEGIS-compliant” or “AEGIS-certified” without meeting the requirements defined in the AEGIS™ Constitution
- Use AEGIS™ marks to imply endorsement or affiliation with the AEGIS Initiative without written permission
- Represent unofficial implementations as authoritative AEGIS governance systems
Stating compatibility (“Compatible with AEGIS™ specifications”) is permitted as described in the trademark policy.
System Integrity
You may not:
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of this site or its infrastructure without authorization
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the site, its servers, or connected systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the site’s availability, including denial-of-service attacks or deliberate overloading
- Introduce malicious code, viruses, or other harmful material

Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Warning and request to cease the prohibited activity
- Temporary or permanent restriction of access to the site
- Termination of any license or permission granted under these policies
- Legal action as appropriate
