DMCA & Takedown Policy
Effective: March 21, 2026
AEGIS Operations LLC respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of aegis-constitution.com to do the same. This policy describes how to submit a takedown notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and how to file a counter-notification.
Designated Agent
The designated agent for receiving DMCA notifications is:
AEGIS Operations LLC
Attn: DMCA Agent
P.O. Box 235
Lovettsville, VA 20180-0235
United States
Email: dmca@aegis-constitution.com
If you register a DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office, ensure the information filed matches the details above exactly.
Filing a Takedown Notice
If you believe that content on this site infringes your copyright, submit a written notice to the designated agent above containing:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved
- Identification of the infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to locate it on the site (e.g., a URL)
- Your contact information — name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement of good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- Your physical or electronic signature
Notices that do not comply with these requirements may not receive a response.
Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to the designated agent containing:
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number
- Consent to jurisdiction — a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, the Eastern District of Virginia), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the takedown notice
- Your physical or electronic signature
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within ten (10) business days, we may restore the removed material.
Repeat Infringers
AEGIS Operations LLC will terminate access for users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
Good Faith
This policy is not a legal tool for resolving disputes unrelated to copyright infringement. Misuse of the DMCA takedown process — including filing false or bad-faith claims — may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
